Four Noble Truths with Ven Geshe Samten
May 31, 2025: During the holy month of Saka Dawa, AIBLP was very fortunate to host Ven Geshe Samten of Sera Mey monastery (India). The centre organised a meet and greet and Dharma teaching which was open to the public.
Geshe la taught the Four Noble Truths which was Buddha Shakyamuni’s first teaching after enlightenment. He explained in detail the nature of suffering and the path to liberation. The teaching concluded with a question and answer session. Geshe la also highlighted Sera Mey monastery’s project to build a hospital for the monks and greater community. Geshe Samten shared remarks on how the centre and its community were parts of one great vehicle and how everyone must work together to keep moving forward. The session closed with an offering of khatas to the Sangha. AIBLP would like to thank Ven Geshe Samten for his time and generosity in sharing his wisdom.
